Rating
Despite the Ethereal tag (discarded at end of turn), 9 AoE damage + -9 Strength to all enemies is a brutal AoE debuff. The Strength loss lasts only one turn, but every follow-up attack lands as if the enemies were 9 Strength weaker — effectively a massive damage buff for your entire turn.
Upgrading doesn't improve damage or effect, so its upgrade value is minor. Ethereal means you must play it on the turn you draw it or lose it. Its full cost (1 Energy + 3 diamonds) is heavy, but -9 Strength is worth it and then some.
How to Use
- Ethereal forces you to play it the turn it's drawn or it's gone by next turn
- Sequence: End of Stars → big follow-up attacks (Heavenly Power, KO plays, etc.) to cash in -9 Strength
- Reserve enough Energy for multiple attacks that same turn
Synergies
- Heavenly Power: Triple-hit means -9 Strength applies three times — huge damage difference
- Pressure: Permanent -1 to -2 Strength. Stacked with End of Stars' temporary debuff cuts enemy Strength drastically
- Seven Stars: 7x7 damage. Following End of Stars' -9 Strength, it's a massive hit
- Genesis: Turn-start diamonds cover the 3-diamond cost, enabling reliable End of Stars plays
